Today is five years to the day since my first article on Scroll for Initiative!
A lot has changed since then:
- We came out the other side of the pandemic finished our first full campaign, levels one to 20, after a year and half of online play (see Zargon, featured above)
- I ran Dungeon of the Mad Mage (which I loved) and The Wild Beyond the Witchlight (which I didn’t)
- I tried out some new RPGs like 13th Age, Dragonbane, Forbidden Lands, The One Ring, and the Cypher System
- I published my own mini starter campaign, Adventures in Hawk’s Rest, with the help of the fantastic Dungeon Baker, plus some other adventures
- I painted a lot of minis
- I performed a ceremony to get a permanent +2 bonus to my AC
- I made a wyrmling!
I’ve got a few more projects on the go right now, at various stages of production, including a 200-page book called The Campaign Handbook which is turning out to be a bit of a beast. The best place to follow my progress (and support me—thank you!) is on Patreon. I’m looking forward to eventually, hopefully finishing it.
Whether you’ve been following me since the beginning or you’ve just stumbled here: thank you so much! Your support means the world to me And it really is a team of one here, so apologies if I sometimes go a while without writing much. Life gets in the way.
As a final plug, here are my top ten most read articles. I don’t know about you, but they kind of surprised me.
