A short post this week, but two bits of news:
- As part of the Christmas in July sale, The Campaign Handbook is 30% off! That’s $6.97 (roughly £5.21) for 229 pages of campaign tables and advice. Justin Alexander writes: ‘This is the step-by-step, level-by-level guide to building your D&D 5th Edition campaign you’ve been waiting for. It’s a menu, a mood board, and an endless source of inspiration.’ Hurry, though—the sale ends Saturday 1 August.
- In May, I posted about wilderness encounters in the lands around Greyhold, and I shared a sample for heathland encounters. I have since completed the rest of the wilderness encounters, and these are now available as a Patreon exclusive here. Better yet, pick it up with the first two levels of the Drowned Labyrinth in a bundle—for the same price!
Alongside these tables, I’m also hoping to make some new OSE stat blocks for the creatures below:
- Crab-men
- Each-uisge, equine water spirit
- Ettercap
- Giant eagle
- Giant eel
- Kraken
- Lyngbakr, the island whale
- Nuckelavee, the skinless horse demon
- Selkie, shapeshifting seals
- Spriggan, ugly wooden fey creatures
- The Stoor Worm, the world serpent
- Winter wolf
Hopefully these give you a sense of the sort of setting I’m trying to build!
If you’re enjoying these projects, take a look at my last post, where I floated another possible idea for a product—a natural companion to the Campaign Handbook. All feedback welcome!
